How does Interdem work?

  • Each country has a named co-ordinator with some countries (such as the UK, Spain, The Netherlands and Italy), having a larger membership group than others.
  • Two network lists exist: one with active members for each country and another broader list that is held by the Network Co-ordinator and within country co-ordinators in the UK, Spain, The Netherlands and Italy where there are larger expressions of interest following INTERDEM Conferences.
  • Lists are updated by the network co-ordinator at Hull, UK.
  • Activity is developed through the co-ordinators in each country.
  • Pan-European research co-ordinated networks within 'disciplines' (i.e. medicine, nursing, social work, occupational therapy, physiotherapy, psychology, people with dementia and their carers), are planned.
